Newbie wanting to thank this forum

Hello all,

I knew this site was the best when I joined by seeing all the different forums and especially this one because my BMI is 58 point something. Not that the number after the decimal matters (smile). Anyways I'm still in the baby stages of this thing, and haven't been a member long, but from what I'm reading everything I need to know is here so if I can find a good surgeon ( Central New Jersey Area) that I like I can't see myself failing at this because it's too much love here. I mean man from protein, to exercise, to recipes to do's and dont's and the list goes on. They even give you advice for stool problems > Anyways I'm always looking for friends and serious pen pals I have about 7 friends but I want hundreds of them because I believe the more support you have the further you will get.

Thank You all and let's continue to stick together and support each other. Love makes things alright.

Welcome to BMI over 50.  I think we have an exceptional bunch of ladies here (and maybe an occasional guy or 2 LOL).

Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.

This is a good group.

When I first found it, my first thought was "I found my people!"

Best of luck in your surgeon search!

It does seem like you can find out whatever is needed on this site and the folks in the 50 plus group are super nice. Welcome and good luck. I started with a BMI right where yours is. I'm still pre op, but I'm close to losing my 10% so I should be able to submit to insurance soon. All the paperwork is done.

Welcome.. You have made the right decision about this forum. It is the kindest and the most supportive I have found.  But the main reason I love it here is that the people here understand the problems that arise with a very high BMI. It is great to know that your supporters really understand your situation and really care..

I started my journey at a BMI of 63. I have lost about 60 lbs now on the pre op diet. I have 2 more months to go on the diet before I can get surgery. Lots of road blocks and insurance problems.
But I am greatful I found this site for help and support.

Don't ever be afraid to ask for support or help or any Question..
