I'm planning to set mini goals for every 10 pounds lost.  I have a tendency to always look at things as the "end result" so I'm setting goals for the smaller milestones.  Not sure what order they'll be in yet - but here they go:
- Mani/pedicure
- Haircut/color at high end salon
- spa day/massage
- see a show on Broadway (when I fit into the seats!)
- New clothes - it's a must for work!
- Buy a new exercise bike for home to go with our treadmill and elliptical
- Rent a vacation home along the DE or VA shore with my husband for a week
- New car (probably with car seats in mind!!!)
- Fly home to Iowa to visit family rather than having to drive because I don't currently fit in plane seats
- End goal will be my husband and I trying to start a family.  We've never "tried" and can't wait for it to be SAFE for me to carry our children.
- (I'm secretly hoping my hubby will get me diamond studs when I hit ONEderland... I'll drop hints as I get closer and see what happens ;)

I've also recently had the thought of framing a little baby outfit in a shadow box and putting it somewhere in our house as a reminder as to why we're doing all of this.  I think it will be really motivating, but I also think it could really creep my hubby out.  I guess I don't know if I'll have "goal" jeans, but that little baby outfit would help represent my ultimate goal.

Losing weight to increase reproductive health is a very good goal! Obesity is linked to many problems in pregnancy and childbirth.

Just remember, when you get to your goal, pregnancy is not an excuse to over-eat. People try to force feed pregnant women like it's goin' outta style! But a fetus is sustained on a mere 300 calories a day, and depending on your weight at the time of pregnancy, your midwife or doctor may not want you to gain more than 15 to 25 pounds.

I have also seen many active women gain lots of weight by suddenly stopping their activity during pregnancy. Exercise is actually good for the developing fetus, because it increases circulation and oxygenation to the baby. A woman can usually continue her regular exercise program to the very end of her pregnancy without fear of harming herself or the baby.

Pregnancy post-WLS can be a minefield of emotions, but the end result is well worth it.

I had hoped to be 100 pounds down by my birthday Thursday, but I didn't make it. Thursday was my 40th birthday. I'm sitting in a suite in Las Vegas, looking out the window at my view of the Strip.

Yesterday I had a very long massage, the best facial of my life, mani/pedi and got a great hair cut. By the time I got out the door, with tips and buying three products, it cost me $400. But it was really nice. (I just have this incredible feeling of guilt that I have to get over. I AM WORTH IT! I AM WORTH IT!)

It's been 5 years since I got a massage/facial/mani/pedi.

My big goal reward is going to be two weeks in Japan. (We're not rich, my inlaws live there.)

I am sure I will find ways to reward myself along the way, but I do have one big goal.  I have always had a dream to visit as many National Parks as possible before I die.  I am a nature freak I guess.  The last big vacation I did was Grand Canyon, Canyonlands, Arches, Capital Reef, Zion and Bryce in a big loop.  My guy called it "the Rock vacation",  rocks, rocks and more rocks.  Luckily, he is game for whatever I want to plan.  However, with my degenerative arthritis over the years I have been having more and more trouble walking and I have gained almost 100 pounds since we did that vacation in 2003.  My ultimate goal is about 10 days of Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, and on my own 2 legs, and I am determined RNY is going to get me there.  Waiting for the day I get my "not so big butt" in another airplane and this time not have to quietly ask as I get on board Can I get a seat belt extender?!!!

Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.

I haven't given myself many opportunites to do this, but I think I should as weight loss has slowed since I hit 100 pounds.
At -100 hubby and son bought me a gold braclet. I have always wanted one. I love it.
So for 110 I should get a pedi I think....
120 new pants
130 jump for joy and_____________ I do not know what.
140 goal... and new clothes for real!!!
