I went to a surgical seminar

I guess I am glad I went and got to hear a surgeon speak about the differences in teh  surgeries but all in al it seemed like a bit of a sales pitch and I left feeling really sad because seems like most people in there have insurance that covers this stuff and he said they's have theirs within 6 weeks.   I'm still sitting on square 1...Ive made teh decision but I have no way of paying for it still.
I guess my next step might be to try to find a full time job with good benefits... but thats a lot harder than it sounds first because I'll have to move as there are no jobs here and second... I dont think Im healthy enough to work full time in all honesty.  *groan*   It's not going to be easy but I refuse to give up.... and in the meantime Im going to take care of myself as well as I can.

I can see wy the adds for bariatric surgery in Mexico are so appealing now though as they are half the price.... still a large chunk of money. lol

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. The govt is hiring....go to www.usajobs.com. Not only are they hiring, but we have GREAT benefits.

If you don't have any insurance, do you qualify for any insurance assistance programs? Quite a few folks have gotten Medicaid to pay for their surgery.

Maybe some day we will have medical insurance for all...

We need medical insurance for all.

 This is why we desperately need health care reform.

I do have insurance but it sucks apparently.   I also do qualify for medicaid (I think) my application is pending.   I will find out end of September they tell me... so I guess with the medicaid there might be hope huh?
