I AM SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME AND I JUST FEEL ITS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

I NEED YOU ALL ADVICE IF ANYONE WENT THRU THIS AND WHAT DID IT FOR YOU TO LOOSE THOSE LAST 15-20LBS BEFORE SURGERY.

I STARTED 2 WEEKS AGO WITH THE LIQUID DIET AND THEN AT NIGHT I GET SO HUNGRY I LOOSE IT.

The only advice I can give you is keep your eye on the prize.  The liquid diet is a temporary thing and YOU CAN DO IT!!

You have waited 14 months for this opportunity--hang in there.  Distract yourself, check out the message boards on OH, do anything.

Did you have a requirement of weight loss before surgery?  I thanked my surgeon for not giving me one--his request was just don't gain weight.  I had a host of problems (sleep apnea being one which I still think impeded my ability to lose weight) and I actually GAINED 21 pounds before surgery.  I had to go on a 3 week liquid diet (full liquids up to 2 days before surgery then 2 days of clear liquid).  The first few days were rough but I managed to get to the weight I was on consult day.  My surgery went on as scheduled.

Even after a year out, I have to keep telling myself to keep pushing onward to lose those last pounds which come off slower.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!  YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!

If you can do the liquid diet for three days straight, it gets a lot easier. It cleans out your system or something.

Try to keep busy. Drinks lots of water. V8 was a life saver for me.

Best of luck.

I am struggling also. I need to lose 20 more lbs before I can submit papers to insurance. They require a 10% loss. I'm ready to go otherwise. Surgeon is ready; pre op visits done with everyone.

I recently bought some NICE water bottles on Amazon. There are 5 in a package and they are nice colors and patterns. I keep these in the refrigerator and the water is helping me, but I am giving in some nights too and eating.

I'm also trying aromatherapy and doing more housework as I believe a nice environment can help us stay calm and happy. (It also burns calories!!) Hang in there and God will help us reach this first goal of having the surgery.
