I started out in the 4 somethings
Wow-since March 30th!!!! You have done great.
I can relate--I started out at my heaviest on 6/18/08 at 407 (BMI of 67). By the time I got to surgery date, the 3 week liquid diet got me back to 386 with a BMI of 64(which I was 6 months before--I had to go through a 6 month process for tests, etc). I was fortunate in that my insurance required 5 year weight history and my surgeon said to try not to gain. As it turned out, the sleep apnea, asthma and edema as well as the other ones (back pain, joint pain, degenerative disc disease, borderline high blood pressure and high blood sugar) and probaby some I can't remember were a big barrier. I am so grateful to my surgeon for having the foresight of reaizing this. Thank you Dr. Chaing of Bariatric Institute of Wisconsin!!!
Fast forward a year, 1 week and 5 days later--at my 1 year follow up on 7/9/09, I am down to 226, BMI 37. My clothes size went from a Roamans 5X to a 20-22.
I started in the 4's, got out of the 3's, got into the 2's and my goal is to be in the 1's by the end of this year. I was thinking Halloween but I want it to be attainable I guess.
You will get there. Do that happy dance!!
