Only former bigun's can relate
I fit in my periodontist's chair this morning!!!
I went in for oral surgery a month out from my RNY (two months ago). And I really didn't fit in the chair well. The arms had to be moved out away from the chair for me to fit. (I fit even worse when I had the initial consult in January.)
This morning I had a followup appointment and I fit!! I even had an inch to spare.
I love my WLS!!

congratulations! that's GREAT!
i can totally relate...my dad built me an outdoor chair for on my deck for christmas several years ago (well before i had surgery) -- he made it extra wide, yet when i sat in it for the first time, i JUST fit -- filled it from arm to arm.
i was sitting in it last night and i only use half of it!
at 4 and 1/2 years out, i still continue to be amazed by the changes.
all the best to you!

I had the embarressment of break several chairs in my life. Which was totally humiliating. I hoping after surgery it will get better.
I was so scared at my Nephew,s Wedding. They only had the white fold up fancy plastic chairs. It a fancy out door weddingin Boston. I was misreable because I thought it the chair could break at any time. My sister a just a little thinner then me said she did not they were going to hold up. Thank God I did not fall on my A$$.

Humiliation, embarrassment, and danger. These are things that can limit my enjoyment of life. I can't wait to love my WLS. Hopefully this fall. Then I can really start living!!!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...

Wow, that's got to feel so good! I am so totally envious of you.
I have broken many chairs in my life, and there are many places I can't go or refuse to go because I know I won't fit in the chairs (or I know they'll be too flimsy.) ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/dontwannasee.gif)
One of my worst experiences though, was when I went to Busch Gardens in Tampa when I was about 13 or 14. I decided to ride the Python, which was a steel corkscrew (inverted) roller coaster. There was a large U-shaped safety bar that came down over the shoulders of each rider and locked in place (I presumed, to keep one from falling out!) I remember the announcer telling everyone to push on the bar to make sure it had snapped in place. Well, my bar couldn't lock because of my big tummy! As I tried to get the attention of the attendant, the ride started! I was terrified that I was going to fall out of the ride when it went upside down!!!
In fact, I was so convinced of this that I clutched hard at my purse to make sure that it stayed with me when I fell, so they could identify me.
Of course, my 13-year-old mind did not consider the centrifugal force factor of the roller coaster; I learned about that the hard way
and thankfully made it through unscathed.
