Hi...I'm a newbie to this forum too from NB Canada

I have been a member of the New Brunswick Forum in Canada for a while but was interested in talking on this forum as well.  My BMI is 72 and I am 39 yrs old.  In NB we hacve 2 surgeons who are doing the WLS surgeries however it is a 3-5 yr wait.  My family doctor has suggested I look elsewhere and evern self pay if necessary.  I have called the NB medicare for advise and am waiting for a call back this week.  I would like to have the sleeve done, I think.  Has anyone gone out of country for surgery?  Any details would be helpful and appreciated.

Sorry no one else has piped up. This board has slowed down some for the summer -- we're all taking naps or something.

I originally wanted a sleeve. On the VSG board there were several people who went to Mexico. You might try posting there. I would assume there would also be some good surgeons in New England.

My sister will be having her sleeve done in either Santa Rosa or San Francisco, California. But that may be a little far for you.
