Gosh, I'm hitting this so late, but better late than never!

I'm Danni and I'm a 28 y/o Special Ed. high school teacher who's happily in love with my girlfriend and can't wait to be able to marry her.

I started my journey at 389 at 59 BMI and I've been on a Pre-op Diet and am now down to 344 and a BMI of 52.

My surgery is scheduled for Aug. 5th and I can't wait to join the losers bench!!!!

Hi Loris!

Good to see you. You and I were BMI twins! LOL! I was 63 BMI and today I am a 25 BMI today.

My highest was 383 and I am 155 today.

I had my surgery November 28, 2006. I was barely able to walk without crutches at the time and today I can take the stairs two at a time!!

Peace,
Therese

I am Ashley and I am 29 years old.  I'm 3 days out of surgery now and feeling pretty good.  Did it all with no pain meds and I'm having no issues so far.

I started out with my highest weight of 361 and day of surgery I was down to 320.  It took me 7 months to lose those 41 lbs..but it was hard work and they're all MINE!  I don't pay much attention to BMI, since my main focus here is to get healthy and more comfortable to lead an active life.  My surgeon doesn't work on anyone with a BMI over 60, so that scared me into making sure I lost the weight.  Because I was over 50 BMI at surgery I have to give myself blood thinner shots for the next 10 days.

I'm excited for the surgery to be over with and I'm ready to move on to the next part of my life!

Jumping in to say hi - I'm Charlee. My current BMI is 63. I'm still in the fact-gathering process although I have begun submitting info to the surgeon my PCP recommended. My list of what I'm looking forward to being able to do is growing and so is my list of what I will NOT miss. haha While I'm at it, I'm following Phase III of the South Beach diet. The time will pass anyway and I'd just as soon not go to my consult heavier than I am now. eep!

My family is very supportive, especially my husband. He of the virtually no body fat grrrrrr. I am well aware how fortunate I am. I have a 28 year old daughter who is an absolute HOOT. My husband & I recently celebrated our 10th anniversary. We have 3 dogs: Molly & Gracie (ShihTzus) and Chloe (terrier-based Heinz 57) and 2 cats: Marlowe (grey tabby male) and Natasha (solid black female). It gets a bit crowded on the couch sometimes, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
