I am Kelly, my bmi was over 60 when I started ( I think...) I am finally under 300 pounds and that is exciting. But most of all, I can walk , exercise, and don't take any more medications.  WOO HOO!

I had my surgery a little over seven weeks ago, have had no complications so far. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

20 pounds lost during two week pre-op diet.

Restored health and mobility is really what it is all about and then we get thinner too!  Keep up the good work.  Loris

Hi!

I am Mandy.  I am actually 6 days out.  I had laparscopic rNy done on june 30th.  I am 28 years old and have two beautiful girls, tianna is 7 and taylor is 4.  I have a great fabulous husband.  We have been together since high school.

The day that I came home from the hospital I weighed 335 and this morning, 219.8!  YAY ME!  I am on the clear liquids still until tomorrow then to full liquids for another week.  Will I gain some weight after i am able to be on soft foods or real foods?  (Or people food as my four year old says  :)  )

I am trying to get a whole profile thing set up on here, trying key word.  For now I just play around and post around  :)

Love to you all

The only way you will gain is if you retain fluids.  You sure have a lovely family.  You will be able to enjoy them more and more sooner than you think.  Loris

Haven't been around in a long time!

Started at 374, am down to 225 and still losing.  Currently sitting at about 35 BMI.
I still work out with a trainer 3X per week and do cardio 2-3 times a week as well.  Have moved to running the stairs at work for my cardio now.

I have a plastics consult this Wednesday and am excited to see what he has to say.

Howdy,

My name is Patti.

It took me three years, three insurance companies, three different PCPs, a six-month supervised diet and a 5-month delay because my medical group is peopled with idiots (There are some great people -- but you have to get through the iggits to get to them). I finally went in and got my RNY on April 3, 2009.

So far, I'm down 70 pounds from my initial consult with the surgeon. My beginning BMI was 60.8, and I just broke the 50 barrier -- down to 49.8. My next goal is to break into the 200s. 18 pounds to go!!!

I have a wonderful hubbie and a skinny 3-year-old daughter (takes after her Dad, thank God!). My mother will be 76 soon and she has all sorts of health issues that keep me occupied. I also work full time and live in the middle of nowhere -- it has a zip code -- 93501.

Good luck on your journies!!!
