I just gave away alot of 5x clothes. The person who got them was so excited-those clothes are expensive. I've been finding treasures in the laundry room that I "forgot". I wore a 3x button up shirt last night and it fit fine.
Congrats to you..Debra

As bitter sweet as giving away your clothes is,  I wish you a lot of fun buying new stuff in SMALLER SIZES!!!!! Keep up the good work.

It must be so hard to see all the things you love to wear leave.  but must feel even better to be able to get smaller size stuff.  I am pre op and have only lost 15lb so far but cant wait till i loss more

give it time u will i cant stress enough the importance of measuring urself..  because as we start to lose weight an gain more mobility an do more we gain muscle an the scale doesnt always move in the right direction.. but clothes will begin to get loose.. and ur right it does feel amazing to be able to wear clothes from a normal store like walmart instead of having to buy out of catalogs or online or even having problems finding anything that would fit at a point.. keep up the good work.. an remember nothing will ever taste as good as feeling healthier feels..

I enjoyed "shopping" in my own closet as I first started losing weight.  Now I am wearing a 16 and have to buy all new clothes.  Oh poor me!!   Now I go to stores and hit the clearance racks and refuse to spend more than $5 or $8 for anything.   I have gotten good at it.  Cato's is a favorite, as are Ross and Marshall's.  Clearance, clearance, clearance.
We also have a clothes closet through our batriatric center where we can drop off clothes and get new ones.  Consider that if your area has one.
