Where is everyone at? Losses?

I started my journey beginning of Aug. 2008 with 35lbs lost prior to surgery.  I had my surg. on Aug. 28th, ran into some pretty bad complications (won't explain, but if you want to know you can read my profile) and today I am down a total of 151lbs.  Seeing I started this journey at 416lbs, I am wondering if this is a good amount of weight loss?  I feel pretty good about it, but then I've seen and heard of people losing so much more.  I am not complaining, just wondering what everyone else is doing out there?  I feel wonderful, exercise and can't weight to continue to lose.  I have had a stall the last 3 weeks and now the scale has begun to move again with an 11 pound loss over the last 10 days!!! Strange....I have a way to go yet and am just wondering how anyone else in my weight category might be doing, absolutely no disrespect to anyone, just interesting for me to see how inidividuals near my weight are doing now after surgery?  Anyone have any input for me? I would love to hear how you are doing?  Thank you.

Sounds like you and I were pretty much in the same boat size wise.  It's so good to here of your success.  Keep up the great work.  I had my sugery, (sugeries) on Aug 29th and Sept 5th, had some complications but and doing well now.  I am as of today down 166lbs.  Feeling good about that.  My sizes are not changing as much as I would like but I know they will, I have a large frame and am tall, I am wearing a size 22 pants now but noticed those are now starting to get baggy...I don't dump on sugar either, kind of scary so I have to watch that, sweets are my downfall.  I can eat pretty much anything, but have to be really careful with pasta, bread and rice, they tend to stick on me.  Congrats on your journey, I really enjoy hearing about other's accomplishments.  Sometimes I get the feeling I am alone in this but I hop online and pick up motivation from others.  Thanks for your response and good luck to you always.

Hi!

I started at 446 and as of today, I am down to 276 so that's 170 pounds lost in nearly 1 year.  My 1 year surgiversary is June 13 and my goal is to hit 190 some day so I still have a ways to go! No complications.  I can eat anything.  I don't dump on sugar or fat.  I rarely have issues with gas and that's only if I eat pasta.  Nothing gets stuck as long as I remember to chew and eat slowly.

I started in a size 5X-6X shirt and I am wearing a 22/24 if fitted and 26/28 if I want it kinda baggy. Could wear smaller but I have several incisional hernias from 2 operations so my belly sticks out kinda solid.  In jeans, I wear a 20 in womens plus or a 21 in Juniors plus. In yoga or PJ pants, I wear an XL womens and a 15/17 in Juniors.  I have NEVER been able to fit into anything in the jr section in my whole life :D

Congrats on your success :)
