After about 16mos of constipation I am now having a different problem. It seems like whenever I eat, approx 2-4hrs later I am evacuating the same food essentially undigested. I am not having any bowel pain but I am concerned that I am not getting much nutrition from my food. Its happened for a few weeks and I've lost a bit of weight again (at least partially due to this I think).
Does anyone else have this problem? Have you discussed it with your surgeon. Its not really irritable bowel or anything, actually life is easier this way, no gas or constipation, no hemhorroid issues anymore, but it is bothersome in my mind because I try to eat very nutritious foods, lots of veggies etc and I don't know that I am absorbing much of it.
I will address with doc but I was curious if anyone else was having this problem.

hey dunny!
i have this happen to me off and on. i've never had the constipation problems...i'm either fairly normal in this area, or i go the way you're currently describing. been that way all along since surgery for me.
i've not discussed it with any doctors...(i have trouble bringing up such topics). i guess i just assumed this was the new "normal" for me.
hope you can get the answers you need.
take care.
