Yes, I get my protein in, and fluid and milti V but otherwise, I'm not eating much really.

Could not eating enought be making me NOT lose weight?

I'm not trying to not eat much. I'm just only eating three times a day, as instructed and not much is going in at each sitting.... maybe 2 oz yoghurt at lunch and 1/3 cup of veg and meat at dinner. plus optifast for breakfast.

Definetly,  you need to eat a least the required amount of protein so you dont get sick and you need to eat enough calories so your body will contiune to loss weight and avoid plateaus (stall)

since you are just barely a month out  you will find it difficult to eat enough, but down the road try to get enough protien and calories

That's a great idea. I have so many questions

I had a bit of a cry tonight. It's been a long time, no weight loss and I am feeling frightened. I feel like I'm scared of food, it will make me fat, but I need to eat but I don't know how much...and like I'm going to, or already am a failure. All the wrong attitudes, but it's been over 2 weeks. I lost 8kg pre surgery on 4 weeks of a liquid diet with not a single car, 1 cup of steamed veg and 3 protein, then 10 kg's post surgery for 12 days (9 days I was really sick) then stopped and have stayed here since. I feel so upset about it...everyone says it's normal...then I went on my surgery date forum and everyone who went my week has lost more than double what I have lost. I have to be doing it wrong. It's so upsetting.

Ah well......i hope they have some answers for me.

does low water intake impact weight loss?

Low water intake can cause you to retain fluids.  Can you eat a bit more yogurt at lunch?  Can you add another shake?  Do work on upping your water.  Good luck and remember the emotional roller coaster is normal right now.  Loris

I'm 12 weeks out and having the same issues.  I'm not even eating the string cheese or turkey yet.  My surgeon yelled at me for not eating enough.  I can only eat 2 tbsp at a time.  Does this sound normal?  Also, I got a bladder/kidney infection from not drinking enough fluid.

Patrick you have to eat, I cannot emphasize that enough.  Early on and even now I found there were some foods that I could actually eat more of than others.  If you do not eat you are going to have a lot of problems not to mention, no weight loss!

Good luck and talk your surgeon/nut..............
