I HATE MEAN PEOPLE

Why do people have to be so mean???

My sister & I were giving a presentation tonight at the new patient seminar for our bariatric program.  We have a great power point presentation that we use, show pics of us before and after, things we found helpful, things we do to succeed, wow  moments... all sorts of stuff.  Presentation went great... until we left.

My sister had her purse stolen.  She had set in on the table just outside the door to the room we were in... door was open... didn't think anything of it.  We went to leave, after everyone else did first of course... and her purse was gone!!  Keys, wallet, cell phone...all that gone!!

We were sharing some very personal moments with these people, and someone took her purse!!!  The other kicker is... my sister has been down on luck anyway.... She lost everythign in her house to a fire in March.  She is living in a temporary apartment while they are re-doing the inside of her place.

I HOPE WHO EVER DID THIS, HAS SOME KIND OF HORRIBLE LUCK HAPPEN TO THEM!!!

Can they track the phone somehow and catch the a$$hole?  I'm so sorry.  That really sucks.   Was there a list of people who attended?  that might help the police out a little.  Geeze.

Karma is a byatch...don't worry.  It'll come back on them soon! 

unfortunately her phone does not have a gps chip in it... so no way to track it.  They will watch to see if someone tries to use her debit card, and hopefully catch them that way.  There is a list, but we don't think the police are really going to pursue much...not really at the top of their list of things..

Here's my take on that....

I not sure they need bad luck coming their way..... think about it.

They are at an obesity lecture, and the very people trying to help and inspire then, they steal from.

What kind of a life do they really have! They must be so down and out that they did this. How do you live like that! If they need to steal, what are their chances of affording this surgery.

The poor soul.
I'll pray for them.

Your poor sis. I feel for her. I Lost everything to a house fire on Jan 5 too...living out of home too, it sucks. I got burned and needed much trwatment in the burns unit, and I struggled with complications post surgery...but here's the thing. I won't steal from anyone, and nor will your sis. We're the winners here....not that poor sod.

Don't feel down.

Look at what a successful person you are.... your winners no matter what they take from you.

It may not even have had been someone at the lecture.  Were there cleaning staff there?  Maybe someone else slipped in without anyone seeing them?  At work we had things missing and all suspected each other, come to find out it was a man who pretended he was looking for a co-worker who was doing the stealing (didn't even work there)...so it's not always who you suspect.

I'm so sorry this happened to your sister.  It's like my mother says though.  What goes over the snake's back comes back under his belly.  I hope whoever did this doesn't profit one bit from it or enjoy one thing they get from it.
