Hi Dawn~
I lucked out and didn't get rejected (yet? lol) he had WLS too. I didn't know when I started talking with him. We seem to be doing OK in the "Real World" I am shy, he is shy. It's going well considering! lol.
Don't judge yourself! I have my pictures on there same as here and the guys have been nothing but positive so far! Unfat and fat guys alike. I am amazed. They call me pretty and stuff which I have NEVER heard efore from anyone. This thing has been a major self esteem BOOST for me. I am hoping it helps me see me as other people do. I have a distorted body image, most of us do I think. Rejection hurts but if you are completely honest and post many realistic pictures of yourself you will weed out the guys that have a problem with it. They wont even message you. That was my reasoning. They all know I had WLS, so far no one cares. I'm talking to 5 guys but met just one. I did have to block about ten sex crazed horn-dogs though...it's the internet. It happens. No one has been rude though, or negative. They are just horny and lonely. Ha ha. Pick a nice one and don't sell your self short! you are a good person and that's what counts! I categorized me as a BBW (5 ft 7 ~ 249) and there are MANY takers! not that I would want to meet them all, but wow!
I say go for it...if you have a negative on line experience just delete your account and it's over. What do you have to lose? It took me less than four hours on there to find this guy. We met three days later, we are still just hanging out and having fun. It's a start (?)

PS~ The site is like this only everyone is talking about dating rather than weight loss. There are forums and you make a profile with a few pictures and short description of who you are and who you are looking to meet. It tales like ten minutes to set up.

There is a big improvement in my pics, but I still think I look horrible. Where you scared to meet the guy. I have been talking to one. He lives a little ways away from me. But I am afraid to meet him. Where you afraid to meet him. Can you give me the website again and thanks so very much for the help!
I think my pictures look horrible too...It's bad self image mostly. Other people won't be as critical of them as you are. Don't be so hard on yourself :)
Did you send your friend pics yet? I would, get one of him too. A picture can say a lot I think. The site I am on is Plentyoffish.com. The picture thing helps because I think men are more visual than women. We see the inside of people 1st but they do look at the outside some (most of them) I start with pics so i won't be let down by rejection later. It's self preservation really. I want to talk to the guys who just don't care about skin and jigglies and all that junk. They are out there...really.

thanks so very much, yes he saw one just the head and below my breasts, and he has one on there also. Thanks would you mind if I stay in touch with you I think you would be good for my self image. My email is [email protected] thanks again.
What I did with my husband is we met online and talked on IM for quite a while first. I "grilled" him with questions because I had waited for two years to find the "right" man and wasn't going to settle. Then we met at a public place, a coffee house. After that he came over to my place where I had my grown son and dogs. After he met all the criteria then we started dating. You never know what kind of person you are meeting over the internet, but as I've found, if you're careful, it's well worth it.
Sorry to hear that. Although many mental illnesses are able to be improved/controlled with meds. I have bipolar folks in my life and they are fine if they stay on their meds.
Try again. I got my hopes up several times before I found a good one. It is a learning experience. Knowing what questions to grill about is half the battle.
