That is a great buy. We are going to Walmart to pick up a Spark plug for the mower, I will take a look and see if they have one. I bought an elliptical a couple years ago ****il the last 4-5 months it has made a hell of a nice cloths dryer/hanger, lol).
I was on the prowl for a treadmill and couldn't find one so I was just going to buy one but a friend said if I hauled hers out of he basement I could have it. So we went over to get it and her husband hauled it upstairs and had it ready to carry outside. Very nice of them. It ended up being a very expensive treadmill, made by NordicTrack and I love it. It is like... cushioned when you walk so it has a little bounce to it, easier on your joints I guess but I still prefer walking outside.
I was about 500 lbs when I started wanting to do something else. When I hit about 475 or so my surgeon said I could do whatever I was comfortable doing. So I started doing some light weight lifting, stretching (more than I was doing) and some rowing/biking at the gym at school (Western Illinois University). Then two weeks later they told me to stop because some of my vitamin levels were low. One of the vitamin's that was low can make your bones brittle or causes fractures or something like that so back to just walking.
I was going nuts, tired of just walking. Well a month or so ago I switched medication and ended up not sleeping, sometimes for 2-3 days in a row. So I quit walking cause I was always just so tired and sleepy. I was tired and sleepy all the time but could not fall asleep. When I did fall asleep if I woke up I couldn't go back to sleep and I normally wake up every 2-3 hours.
Since my sleep has been so bad and not walking I have lost less than 10 lbs in the last month. I asked my surgeon and he said it was my metabolism being so 'off'. Apparently not sleeping throws your whole body into a tail-spin.
Geesh, all that to say good for you for expanding your routine and I know exactly what you mean by being tired of only walking. Don't stop walking it sure helps your weight loss and keeps your muscles strong and growing.
Good luck with the new exercise.

I got a nice recumbent bike from walmart it was a gold gyms brand as well. I love it I can do 60 minutes a day on it and that is with my bad knees and feet. I cant do any weight bearing exercise. Just going shopping and doing errands make my plantar faciitis and knees act up. But got to do the errands. I can't wait until I can do a dvd without pain. I have many Richard Simmons dvd. I do have a sit tight of his as well. But I want to be able to do the weight bearing ones. I hope once I have the surgery I will be able to do more. I have lost already 44.8 lbs since January. I hope to have my surgery in July. I have one more month left of the 6 months supervised diet. Just went today and was told I was doing well. They gave me a few protein samples and vitamin samples to try as well.
