Barfing, barfing, barfing
Barfing..... Barfing...... Barfing....... I am so sick of barfing!
Just wanted to vent that..... I was so embarassed on Thursday! I went on a day trip to Maine with my youngest daughter and her best friend. We went to breakfast at the Maine Diner and I ordered one egg scrambled and toast with Peanut Butter on the side.... well I had 1/2 slice of wheat toast with 1 TB peanut butter and a very small amount of egg...... well.... then we went a mile down the road to Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge which is a wonderful walk in the "woods" and around the ocean marshes.... Now normally I have my husband push me in my wheelchair or I use my walker... well sassy me decided that I could do it with my cane......
I felt fine until I got about 1/3 of the way into it..... then I got the stuck/over full feeling. I didn't feel that way when we ate and I knew I stopped in time...... Suddenly I feel like barfing..... I sit on one of a very few benches.... 30 minutes later.... (very windy and sunny/part cloudy day) I think I can keep walking...... oh dear.... I sent the girls ahead to see if there was a bench at the next numbered stop.... to get private time..... well....... you guessed it......
That happened several more times..... something that takes a normal person about 30 minutes took me 3 hours! I got such a chill and I was still feeling barfy....
My daughter and her friend were so sweet and EXTREMELY patient!!! They were the best! Very compassionate and understanding. I felt bad but they were totally understanding! I am soooooo lucky!
5 hours later...... FIVE HOURS!!!!! I puked up my toes and I was better!!!!!!! two hours after being sick in the refuge.....
I was sooooo exhausted... I slept in the car and the girls hung ou****ching the surf on Gooches Bea*****ennebunkport... I slept and slept..... another hour later I was much better. I finally felt better and it was time to go so..... I decided to extend the time we were there because I felt like I held them up from fun.....
We arrived home at 9:30 and I was soooooo wiped out... so I relaxed to Deadliest Catch... phew!
How long does this barfing last!!!! I have a feeling I was sucking too much air through my mouth when I was walking. Sometimes it was better when I tried to breath only through my nose.
Moral of the story...... I should never go for a long walk immediately after eating breakfast!!!!!
Thanks for listening!

im thinking maybe it was the oil/butter they cooked the egg in an maybe the peanut butter had high suger content.. remember they dont read the labels like we do or but natural, organic etc.. unless specified... try ordering poached egg on dry toast... i cant excercise untill atleast 45mins after eating.. the food needs time to settle an digest some.. an as far as breathing in through nose out the mouth when excercising works for me for somereason it doenst try to fill my pouch that way... maybe cuz i have sleep apnea an my nose is used to the pressure from my cpap machine.. an directs the air to my lungs on instinct..
Thanks ladies! Amen to keeping me honest! This was one of my biggest fears going into this was barfing. I do know it makes me very cautious and more aware of my pouch signals. The worst part is the loss of 1 - 3 hours of time! Sitting and waiting and nausea...... blarg
I am living and learning.... Thanks for your encouragement and support! Thanks for being there!

Finally some body mentions barfing!!!!!! I bet it was the oil in the food. I have problems with scrambled eggs and once I tried mini meatballs and I got sick all day. Also beware of eatting too fast. I drank a protein shot too fast one day and I dumped. Had to rest for 2 hrs , was sweating , had palpitatons etc! Its amazing that the foods we could eat before we can't tolerate now. Good Luck!
