possible that ur slighty dehydrated... are u sipping enough? first few weeks after my surgery i was having skipping beats an sometimes my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest.. till i started getting in enough fluids... u can always call an ask ur doc questions.. its encouraged... no such thing as a stupid question unless its an unasked one..

Always call the doc for something like that.  I can say that I experience that almost every month when I'm in PMS mode.

This happens to me (and many others post op) often.  My Dr's said it's not dangerous, just frightening.  For me it comes with low BP and a weird "out of it"  feeling, like I am about to fall asleep or pass out.  It scared me into going to the ER three times but I am OK.  I went through all kinds of tests but no one knows exactly why it happens.  I am healthier than I have been  in ten years  so I'm not worried.  Try not to let it make you feel panic-y.  Go to the ER next time it happens, if it carries on for more than a few minutes, just to be sure.  If your tests come out OK and it;s just an irregular heartbeat you should be fine.  It's common for women to develop, and seemingly more so post op.

I  hope it stops for you.  Mine have slowed.  I get them a couple times a week now.  For a while it was a few times a day, for an hour or more.  It really scared me.

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

Hi! Mine was skipping beats because my Vitamin D level was 8 and it is supposed to be between 30 and 40! So they put me on 50,000 IU of Vitamin D and pretty soon the skipping stopped and I felt warm! I had also been freezing and shaking like crazy and couldn't get warm.

I hope the skipping stops for you soon.... I remember how annoying and frightening it was.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.  It did stop.  It was probably dehydration or something.
