202 lbs lost

Good morning all.  I weighed in yesterday and am now down 202 lbs.  My high was 406 and I weighed in at 204.  To be so close to onederland is amazing to me.  I won't say it has been an easy ride as I have been struggling lately with emotional eating.  After not wanting sugar for so long, it amazes me how after everything is healed it is still an issue with me.   I still feel like a sugar addict.  I do know what I need to do but it does take more work to eat healthy the further out I am.  I do, however, intend to beat this!  I LOVE being able to be mobile.

I had a wow moment 2 weekends ago.  I went to a Bariatric function through my hospital and they had a chef (who had wls) demonstration and they served up plates of chicken.  I didn't know what to do with the plate since I had a fork and knife and no table.  I looked around and saw other people put their plate on their lap.  Hmmmm.  Let  me try that.  My plate fit on my lap (even with the still excessive panni)!  A weird wow moment, but a wow moment nonetheless.

I know everyone on this post had/has a lot of weight to lose.  I know we all have some unique struggles as our bmi's got quite high.  My wish for all of us is that we find the source of our food issues AND the solution.

That is impressive! I have been struggling also and you have gave me new hope. I started about where you did and sounds like I am little bit behind you but not much.  I think the hardest thing is when your bmi is so high is keeping going since getting to goal but loosing 100 usually is not going to make it.  I have a hard time reading the main board since I have already surpassed most of those people as far as numbers and still would like to work at loosing another 100.
The over 50 BMI board is my insperation and hearing someone like you really inspires me.
Thanks again and congrats!
Did you ever keep track of you loss to help move though stalls?
Any sugguestions on how you kept your motivation going to keep loosing?

Thanks...this forum is such a great home for us.  I also have struggled on the main or rny board because I can't relate to some of their challenges.

I really don't know what I can tell you about keep my motivation going.  I'm still figuring this out.  I do know that I have to continually monitor why I eat or why I want to eat.  I've used food as a drug to numb me.  The healthy part of my brain knows I can't continue to do this.

I wish you luck on finding your motiviation.  Just don't ever give up!

Don't give up.  I just reached goal and I am four years out.  Are your following the program?  Have you kept a food diary lately?  Are you able to increase your activities?  Focus on getting to a healthy weight.  Losing even a pound or to a month would be fantastic.  Good luck, Loris
