Question bout medically necessary plastics

I was wondering if there is anyone here who was able to get their arm skin removal covered by insurance? I have pretty bad arms and was hoping to get it covered but have heard that is nearly impossible. Any one have experience with this? Thanks!

I'm not ready for plastics yet, but I already did some research and I do know that my insurance (Empire Blue Cross) will cover arm skin removal.   I did some research on their website to find this out, see what their criteria is for coverage, etc.  The Plastic Surgery forum will probably have more info from people who have been there, done that.  Good luck with it!

I have empire blue cross also. Just wondering what they told you about requirements?

Wow, that's cool.  I wish mine would be covered.  It's so bad now.  I  wonder if it is a painful surgery?

My surgeon mentioned that if you have skin issues (like most people have because of hanging stomach skin) on your arms/under arms that some insurances would cover it.

If your insurance will cover other surgeries (like a tummy tuck) it would be cheaper for you to have your arms done at the same time if nothing else.
