Ah Ha Moments!

Well..... for many years now my husband has been at my side for 99% of my doctor appointments becasue walking long distances on my own was next to impossible. I have a wheelchair to transport my tired body and legs to and from the "long" distance. Right after my surgery he came with me but he took out my walker (with a seat) out of the car for me and we walked in together..... TODAY however!!!!! I went to the doctors on my own AND took the walker out by myself... walked to my appointment and come out and put the walker back in the car myself!!!!! For me it was a big deal! I am becoming more independent!! This gave my husband free time to spend with his friend building a catapult for a competition at Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester, MA in May ;)  I am so happy that now he is reaping the benefits of a wife who (after so many devoted years of loving me no matter what and being there for me) has given him back time for himself and his friends. It makes me feel very happy!

The second ah ha moment was how much better the seatbelt fits me! It's not trying to choke me so much anymore and.... the steering wheel isn't rubbing on my tummy anymore. I can almost get in and be ready to go without too much re-adjusting in my seat! Yahoo!

The third ah ha moment was when I tried on a pair of my daughter's old jeans that used to fit her.... but she has lost weight in the last couple of months (I told her to keep up and I would buy her the new clothes and wear her hand me downs).... So I tried them on and they ALMOST FIT! The are regular zip up jeans! :) of course they are about 6 inches too long! LOL! but I am looking forward to taking them to the seamstress (a friend of mine) to shorten them. I even snitched a shirt of hers.. he he and I warned her.... look out! Mom's gonna raid your closet! LOL!

I am looking forward to more ah ha moments!  I wish ah ha moments for everyone! Happy Spring!

Wow Marcia what huge moments! You have every right to be very proud of your success. I am so happy for you. You have passed some of the very milestones that I found so important to me. Ok! For those that want to know no I did not raid my daughter's closet. But my son's is fair game.
Congrats.
