I need someone to tell me I am not alone. I weighed 372 at surgery time and got down to 227 never got any lower. I got to the point of not wanting to come on this site because it would depress me to see some lose every bit of their extra weight. I am happy for everyone that did so don't take offense to this post. I just wish I had of. I tried everything even had a TT to see if that would help kick it in. I lost 27 lbs due to having 25 lbs of skin taken off but nothing else yet. My panny hung down so bad. I guess I just need to cheer up and get out and get busy excercizing more. I am sorry for being so down and I will try try again. Thanks all for being here for me.

I went from a recorded high of 377 (several people say I was even more than that but I avoided the scale at all costs) to 195...  I've been there abouts for about 18 months now.... I'm not sweating it any.... I'm just so glad to be able to move and do and LIVE again.....

I think that biggest disservice we do ourselves is comparing our progress with someone else's.  We are all different. While most folks find that most of their EW loss comes during the year or so following surgery, that doesn't mean that you can't get it going again. And even if you don't, aren't you better off down almost 150 lbs?

I'm non-surgical and am down almost 100 lbs. You CAN do it.

Instead of seeing exercise as a chore, make it fun. I swim laps, and I have 2 diff sets of flippers, hand paddles, a mask & snorkle as well as goggles. These are my pool toys.

Some people get a personal trainer, others combine their exercise with something pleasurable, such as reading while on a stationary bike or chatting with a friend.

Find something to make your workouts fun. It helps!

Are you following the basic tool guidlines?  Have you discussed your situation with your surgeon?  If you are still able to lose weight I encourage you to mull something over.  Since most of us had this surgery to become healthy, have you achieved that goal?  I know you are healthier, but are you in a healthy range or risk factor?  If not, maybe that goal could be in your sight.  After that, the rest is icing on the old cake.

It took me a long time to lose all my weight, but as long as there is not amechanical failure it can be done by most.  Keep percevering and good luck.  Loris

I am six months post op and have hit a plato for the last 2 weeks.  I didn't lose a pound in like 12 days and all of a sudden yesterday it started going down again 2 pounds in 2 days not bad.  I am not trying to rub it in or nothing just letting you know that our body doe**** platoes and has to reajust itself before continuing.  Now my body is telling me that I am ready to lose more and I will most certainly allow it for I still have 62 more pounds to go.  No pressure when I get there I will be happy, as long as I am healthy along my journey to weight loss I am in no rush, hey it took me 20yrs to pack on the weight so even if it takes me 1 to 2 yrs to lose so what.  Take care everyone and stay healthy.and of course dont forget to exercise it's so important in the mix.
