New To This Forum
Hello Everyone,
I can't believe I have not found this forum before. But glad I have. I have been coming on OH on and off for over 5 years and tried to have surgery back in 2004. Got turned down after 9 long months of jumping through all the hoops only to find right before I got approved that my husbands employer had a clause that nobody at United Health Care could seem to find or the dr's office until I had already done everything they asked. But here I am again hubbie with another job and this time they say there is no clause. I am in the process of trying again to get approved. Have had several test done and will be submitting my paper work to the insurance company in the next month or so. So wish me lots of luck and much prayer cause we all know its needed.

This is a great forum!!! Lots of great people here!!! I hope your approval goes smoothly this time!! I had gone thru a denial with my insurance also because of a specific "NO WLS" clause, so I know what you have been thru!!! Hopefully everything will work out this time!! Good luck

MY JOURNEY BEGINS...
Well I am getting closer now I guess to finding out if I will get to have my surgery or not. I had a sleep study done 4 weeks ago and did not sleep at all , so they did another one last night and I did manage to fall asleep this time. The dr is going to submit my paperwork for my diet history this week. I have had my upper GI, heart cath, EKG, eco, chest Xray, and sleep study, but I do have one more thing and that is my scope. He says he has to do a scope on me since I had surgery back in 1982. I tell you I am getting cold feet these days it seems. I have lost 30 lbs in two month which my surgeon if very please with. Now I just have to wait to see what UHC is going to say. I do wish this would hurry up. Thanks for listening!
