Newest Mom Update

 My ever resilient Mom has once again bounced back. The 24 hour care was pulled on Friday because Mom didn't require that type of help. They explain they couldn't provide 24 hour care to her when she was alert,  and even back to being a bit bossy, that would be more like a babysitting service. I totally understand, I didn't think she needed that type care when it was offered, I thought they saw something I hadn't.   I have hired an aide to come in 3 nights a week for 3 hours, M/W/F to help with the night routine. This will give Gary and me a much needed break.   We know the bad days are starting to outnumber the good and this will continue to happen, but were thankful for each day Mom is with us and feeling OK.    We also continue to be thankful for the fact that as of yet Mom is in no pain. She is getting tired easier and on bad days can be confused a bit and grumpy. I keep telling her I don't think I could be half as nice as she is in the same cir****tances.   Thank you for all your good thoughts and prayers.

Is your mom's name Catherine?  I ask because she seems very Cat-like .... the whole 9 lives thing?!? 

Good to hear to read that she still has some of the fight left in her!  Prayers are continued.

I am very happy that she is doing better, enjoy each moment with her, the good and the bad.
You are a wonderful daughter, it just shows what a great mother she has been to raise such a caring person. You all will be in my prayers.
