Hey Everyone, So I just came across this thread. And I “fit" here. LoL. I am Nichole Mommy&Wife, PreOp for Open RNY, My paperwork is getting submitted to insurance (BCBSofMI) next week. I can hardly wait. I am really excited about the whole thing!   I would be interested in knowing who has done Open RNY?

Hey There, I wish I was from MI it’s really pretty there. But the only thing from there is my insurance and corporate office.

Ah yes I understand that! I use to work for them and we serviced people all over the US.

BCBSM of has pretty good coverage for employer plans for WLS. It use to not be that way, but they have come a long way in the 8 years sinc I left there.

Welcome! This is a great forum and everyone is wonderful here! I felt at home right away! I had lap RNY... I am thankful. I don't happen to know anyone in my circle of people who have had the open but I hear some have.

Keep coming back and ask all the questions you need to and everyone willl be wonderful and reply and help out when and however they can.
