90 day weight loss centers (that includ. behavior mod and nutr)
Hey everyone,
I need to find an affordable weight loss center that offers (or will customize to a) 12 week program. I have sleep apnea (and now use a c-pap) and a hernia (that can turn into cancer if I don't lose weight) however Aetna refuses to budge until I do this 90 day program. Of course, they don't want to pay for it either. I'm 450 lbs.
Ok. That's enough about me.
I live in Downey, CA and I am having a hard time finding such a program near my location. Does anyone know a place I should be checking out, etc? The program HAS to include behavior modification and a nutritionist.
I'm pulling my hair out. I appreciate any and all help!

I'm not sure I can help, but I'll try, would Weigh****chers qualify? If your surgeon isn't connected with a bariatric center I would look at local hospitals, maybe UCLA Med Center would have a Bariatric Center? They would include nut classes and counseling. Maybe a combination of the two?
Jan would probably be the one that could help she's from Glendale, so she's probably familiar with the area!

I found one that surprisingly accepts insurance @ http://www.valensmedical.com/ . I am going to contact them tomorrow and ask them to get advanced approval before I go in. If they don't pan out I will pay out of pocket for this one that I found @ http://www.medicalweightlossla.com/ . I'll update this thread tomorrow.
