10lbs is nothing to sneeze at. You can also probably expect a small stall 2-3 wks after surgery (at least it seems fvery common among many). Even early out 5lbs a week is a very good pace. No worries! Your body is dealing with a lot and has to adapt.
In the first two weeks I GAINED two pounds...and it hasn't held me back much. Don't panic!
