Rollator?
Have any of you ever used one? They're the walkers with four wheels, a seat and basket, usually, and hand brakes.
I'm thinking about getting one because my back hurts so badly after only a short walk that I need to sit down and let it "reset" and I might be able to go more places with one.
Do people stare at you?
Thanks!

Welcome!!!
I have used a regular walker.
People can be sooooooo mean and stare and make comments.I use to hardly believe what people use to say.I do not miss that. Even though i am still 315 I do not get the stares any more.
Good Luck on your journey to see about the surgery. Please read my profile it has changed my life. I use to have to use a wheel chair,

Hi,
I have a walker, Mine has the four wheels, seat and hand brakes, no basket but a nylon bag that is used to carry things. I use mine off and on, depending on how my knees are doing (need knee replacement surgery). I use it for the same reason you explained, I do sit down when the pain becomes to great and in just a few minutes I am able to continue on.
I am not aware if people stare. I am grateful I am able to get out and get the exercise I can. I am very tired when I get back home, but feel so much better after wards.
Sue
