Arugh! Did A Long Post....POOF!
Hi All,
I did this chatty, witty post this afternoon and it obviously disappeared into the internet black hole. $&%&$#()@)%R&
So I've been gone for about a month. I have now lost 202 pounds since surgery 14.5 months ago! I have 38 more pounds to go. Weight loss has slowed WAAAAY down to about 3-6 pounds a month...but it's okay. I'm wearing a 20 or 22 pants/jeans, and a XL or Lrg shirt. I've walked out of my shoes, almost dropped my pants/skirt a few times, I can't wear my wedding rings anymore, and my boobs have slipped out of my bra. Notice I didn't say I POPPED out of my bra...no, they basically slithered out from the bottom of my bra. The sad part? I didn't even notice! So I was pretty much double-boobed for a morning; my perky cupped bra stayed in place and here were my tube socks just a-flapping around like they had good sense! Oh the injustice!
I haven't had ANY complications....KNOCK ON WOOD! I can pretty much eat a little bit of anything I want. The only thing I for sure stay clear of is rice. It just doesn't settle and it hurts. I drink a lot of water, eat a lot of protein - my new flirting affair is with Vanilla Creme Muscle Milk. Tons of protein, doesn't taste too bad.
I had my other knee replaced on January 28th. It went very, very well. I left the hospital with a 110 degree flexion. They let you out of physical therapy around 114 - 116 degrees. However, my tibial nerve has acted up. I can't really explain it or how it works, but it feels like a bad cramp starting on the outside of my calf, down around the bottom of my foot (sometimes my toes) and up the inside of my calf - but it's not muscles, it's this nerve yelling at me. It's painful to say the least and I'm on Tramadol. There's not a lot we can do - just wait it out.
DD and I are heading to a ski condo in Keystone (Colorado) in a few weeks. Though I won't be up on skis, I do hope to maybe go sledding. We're meeting up with my brother and his family from Chicago. My dh is staying at home to work; when you're in construction, you better work when there's work!
Hope all is going well with all of you. Where is Kix and Ms. PBurton???? I know there are others we've been missing - come out, come out where ever you are. I hope to be around a bit more - between work and my "home" job of legal transcription, keeping up with dd (7 years old) and life in general - time gets sooooo tight sometimes.
I'm glad to be back....
Take Care and XOXOXO,
Jana
