Horrible plane crash 7 miles from my home

Tonight a flight out of Newark NJ crashed into a house in Clarence center NY. 48 people were on board. All were killed on impact, plus one on the ground. There is a 15 foot hole in the ground and it's been burning for four hours.

There are several videos to watch. It's horrible.

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

No, I didn't hear anything. My dogs did go nuts around that time but they go nuts alot for no reason. It's like 7 miles away. I can't imagine the force of the impact. I have been on that flight from Newark with Continental. Same type of plane. Wow.

Stella, I heard about this on Bill Press' radio show this morning as I was driving in to work. When I first heard it, I didn't realize the plane actually hit a house. I understand the experts are thinking that ice on the wings might have been an issue because other pilots in the area were reporting that their wings were getting icy. Commuter planes have always scared me. mostly because pilots like Sully aren't apt to be flying the baby jets.

I used to worry about that when I lived in Alameda, CA (my house was practically at the end of the
North Runway for Oakland Airport), plus in those days we still had a functioning navy base with
jet planes and all.

Prayers to all, and I imagine things are a bit somber in Buffalo today.

I am about 10 minutes from Clarence. I couldn't sleep at all, and for some reason every ounce of me felt the need to go turn on the t.v., then I saw it. It's such a scary thought that that could have been my house. I always have a fear of having this surgery, turning my life around, finally wanting to live, and then something horrible like this happening to me.

I pray for the families of the victims, this is such a tragic event.

I live off Millersport in Amherst. I couldn't stop watching the news either, i didn't sleep. Crazy. Those poor people. I hope they didn't know till the last second. Sounds that way.

I was up half the nigh****ching the news about it...that was just horrible... Everytime I hear a plane flying low I always look out the window to see where it's going... that's scary..

OMG, I know! :o( How terrible. As you know, I also am from WNY (Cheektowaga/Depew) and I know where this area is. Such a shame, I hate planes. Hate to fly for many reasons.
