Tuesday Gym Call

The gym is open today.  Will you move to lose or maintain?

I did 10 minutes on the stair climber and then a 30 minute legs/abs workout.  My legs were just a trembling when I got done.

The Y Director asked if I would appear on their monthly local access show to talk about my training habits, commitments and the Y in general.  Then she asked if they could use my before picture.  Yikes!

My main focus will not be on weight loss surgery, but I will talk about how it was a stepping stone for me to lose a substantial amount of weight, however, my new fitness lifestyle is a means to maintaining my weight loss.  I don't want the whole discussion to be around WLS.  I wouldn't be where I am without it, but my goals focus around fitness and inches lost rather than pounds (most days).

I was really beginning to get down about the lack of weight loss.  I measured my waist and hips and had lost a little there again, but I don't understand why I worry about the weight loss.  But ususally I get this way and something like this happens to me.  It's a great little confidence booster.

I work like that too, I get down about my loss (or lack of) and then I change a pant size. I've lost mad inches in the last months but virtually no weight. I guess its re-arranging.

I need to workout more. I'm getting in an hour about 3 times per week these days. I struggle to integrate it into my schedule.

Congrats on the Y thing :)

Any exercise, of course is better than none.  But accordian to Jillian and Bob on the Biggest Loser, the whole losing inches is a crock of sh*t!  But being in the same position as you, they can kiss my Ass!
