Ever hear of freedom of speech you racist pig?  I grew up VERY poor in a VERY AA neighborhood AND got called whitebread & other RACIST names EVERY ******G WEEK BY AAs. 

And do you know what?  MOST of my friends are black, not because it's something to hold up & say, "see look, I'm the good white girl, I'm not racist because I have a AA friend".  It's because 90% of the people I grew up with were black.  If I had grown up in the suburbs, then most my friends would be white b/c those would be the people I got to know, right?  Get it???? Just because someone says "Sistas" does NOT make them racist you ******g idiot - she's pissed AT YOU NOT AT THE BLACK RACE.

So, if 20% of the black people I spent my school days with called me OUTRIGHT RACIST names, then that means there's a ****LOAD of racist black people, right??????????????  Of course, I'm talking about WAY worse things than "sistas" here.  I've also experienced this as an adult - driving, walking, ******g grocery shopping - whenever I go home to the big city & stay at my mom's house who still lives in the hood, I GET CALLED RACIST NAMES & AM TOLD TO GET OUT.  WTF!  I'm ******g grocery shopping.  When I was in high school, I tried to get into a program for minority &/ or first-generation to go to college, poor white people & the black administer of the program specifically told me that while I qualify for the program, he would rather have all black people in the program.  How's that for ******g racist. 

I'm going WAAAY off topic here, but I BET my ass that you are one of those people that bury their head in the sand thinking that every ******G white person is a racist at the drop of a hat when the FACT is I have been put down, straight up told to GET OUT BECAUSE I'M WHITE & THEIR BLACK MORE TIMES THAN I COULD POSSIBLY SAY.  Oh & no, well of course, there's no such thing as a racist AA, right?  WRONG.  I've lived my life, not you.  Do try not to discount what I'm typing because it doesn't fit well with what you would prefer to believe.  When you are specifically called derogatory names, excluded from social gatherings & publically-funded opportunity programs, and told to get out b/c of the color of your skin, THAT's what racism is.  Despite getting **** every week for a couple of decades from AA specifically b/c I'm white, I KNOW FOR A FACT that MOST black people are not racist.  Do you know the same for white people? 

Pull your head out of the sand & get a ******g clue.  She said it because she does not like YOU.  ******G IDIOT.

Diana spent time helping *me* ... not with insurance, but talking through some stuff, offering assitance if I needed help explaining the surgery to someone from whom I expected resistance. Her approach may be a bit "direct" for you, but you are way the **** off base with your comments.

I don't get involed when there is beef on any board, but as a fellow DSer and black woman I must tell you I feel your wrong. Diana Cox has helped many of people, and after a time of answering the same questions over and over to the same person you to would tell this person to get a clue. We DSer are not rude, but I know I get tired of reading post asking if I smell. You need to stop and look deep inside yourself. Thank Diana for all your help

So, I guess she DE-values your view, and questions your ability to have an independent thought.  I hear she does that a LOT on the BAF forum as well, and people there are pretty sick of her too.

Just to clarify for anyone who has read this far, there were FOUR articles, not one, stating the racial differences in WLS outcomes.

There ARE certain physical/physiological differences between people with different heritage. That doesn't mean anyone is saying any one is better than the other. And studies on AVERAGES do not mean ALL results are the same--some do better, and some do worse.

And yet *sigh* this all falls on deaf ears...
