Kix?
Jennie!
I'm really a negligent friend these days. Work has me spinning in circles (it's grant season) and I don't seem to have a lot of time to call my own. Even so, I'm glad to be employed in this scary economy.
Glad to hear your thigh lift went so well. If you miss your thigh fat, let me know and I will happily donate some of mine.
My eating has been a bit hectic and I haven't made time to exercise (bad Kix), so I feel fatter than usual. I am getting back on track in terms of the eating after a big handful of jelly beans made me dump here at work the other day. Bad dump, too, I was sweating like a pig and had to go to the ladies room and strip down.
I haven't forgotten all my wonderful friends here at OH.
Big hugs,
Kix

Kix,
Glad to hear from you!
When Patti mentioned you posted in the weigh in for this week, I went and read your update there. Sounds like work is crazy for you, but you're right about being thankful for the work. My husband, John, does software immplementation consulting for apparel companies and he has not had work for a couple of months. He has been told by the software company he represents that it should be coming soon, but we have just about drained our savings and will need to tap our IRA soon. It's a hard time.
Hopefully, you can get back into some exercise on the weekends, even for the reason to just de-stress more than overall muscle toning or cardio workouts. The stress relieving aspect of hard exercise helps me at times when I feel overwhelemed. Of course, then you have little demons on your shouder telling you that if you take the time to workout, you'll be more stressed cause you took the time to do it. KWIM? Listen to the angel on your other shoulder and try and make the time! The stress alone can make you hold pounds or put them on. Watch out for that!
There are times when we all find ourselves with that hand full of jelly beans, or chips and dip or other old poor choices that show us how easily it is to slip back into old habits and ways of coping. Glad that your dump reminded you of those old ways and to get back on track.
Thanks for the update my friend. When you posted at the beginning of the year, we all said we would hold you accountable, and I want you to know that we so care about you and your sucess. You have come a tremendous way in your journey. Now as you deal with balancing work, exercise and eating, we are here to help with that. For me, I have to check in with the scale, gym and eating habits regularly to make sure that I'm staying on track. With all the focus on losing the weight with surgery, and little focus on maintaining and living the rest of life at a more normal weight, it is hard work to maintain. I think we all could use more education on this aspect and learn how to cope with the ups and downs of life.
Praying for you my friend -
Hugs,
Jennie
