I just had alittle wow moment
I went to go to the store with my hubby and we have had 9 inches of snow with ice then more snow yesterday.
Well he went out to start the suv and i go flippin out the door with my proud self and geuss what happened?
Yep i ended up halfway under the suv    im okay didnt get hurt  but i swear the dog was laughing at me i was in a weird position so i had to beat on the suv for hubbys attention he ignored me said he thought it was the kids so i yell at him he gets out saying honey where are you im laughing so hard.
I didnt wonna try to get up by myself so he extended his hand and i got up on the first try, last year when i fell i didnt think i was ever gonna get up this time it was so easy.
So i was laughing because i fell and crying because igot up so easy..
Sorry just had to share with someone who might understand

OMG!  Glad you are okay.  I know what you mean about little victories!  A few months ago I felt like a contortionist just trying to keep myself clean.  Today, when I look in the mirror and see bat wings & sagging skin...I smile & thank God for my opportunity to have the RNY.  Funny how things change, huh.
Glad you could see this as a wow moment & congrats!  Once again, though, glad you are okay :)

Totally understand the NSV - yesterday I got up off the floor without the need of a stool or chair for leverage.

That's awesome.   I was  laughing WITH you.  I know the feeling.  I couldn't get up last year either.  I fell in my kitchen once and had to literally roll over to the stairs and swing my feet over them to get up.  It's funny now but it wasn't then!

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

well, first of all, i'm glad you're okay! this indiana winter has been a tough one for sure.

and boy, can i sure identify with you regarding the falling and getting back up thing! i used to be so afraid of falling in winter and being unable to get up -- i tried to not go outside when there was the slightest chance of slippery conditions. now i tell myself, well, if i fall, at least i can up again! it's such a thrill to be able to move easily.

how cool that you were able to see a wow in this fall! hats off to you!

So glad you weren't hurt!

I too have been there and have fallen, I couldn't get up because I was laughing too hard, that of course got hubby laughing and we both had tears pouring before it was over.

I've cried over some of the seemingly silliest things! Silly to others, but huge wow moments to me.
