I have never blocked anyone before

But now I have like 6 people on my block list.  I just cant understand how people could be so nasty?  Its like a sport or like sharks when their is blood in the water.  I have seen a few boards here and all but the rants board (for good reason) has been so tollerant and helpful. Anger is just not good for my health!  I am glad to have found this 50+ group and alot of people who seem really genuine.  Thanks!

I try to ignore it and hope it will go away.  It's just the internet.  I take it all with a large dose of "Ummmmkay"

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

i agree with stella. ignore it, and wait for it to go away. i was glad to see the thread moved to rants and raves -- where it belonged. i sometimes go read on the rants and raves -- good for a laugh! but the genuine supportiveness of this board is something i'd hate to lose.

I've never blocked anyone. It makes it too hard for me to follow discussions where those people might post. I once found out someone had blocked me when I went to read a thread and got SO confused because I could see the posts where people responded to that person, but I had no idea what they were responding to!

Yeah, just got to stay zen.  I have this lame desire to try and a) get along with everyone and b) try to explain myself.  Note to self: ignore drama.

I kicked myself for feeding the trolls the other day. The only point I was trying to make was to complain about the mob-type actiion that I've seen from many DSer's. Someone insults one of the club and everyone else piles on. Even if it starts nicely, it seems to often degenerate into nasty insults and bullying. Regardless of who is "right" and who is "wrong", I don't like bullies.

Co-exist people.

DId y'all know our board is a snooze fest?

It really bothered me what they did that to you.  My problem is I always feel like I need to stand up to bullies.  But by ignoring them I guess I dont have to worry about them at all.  I came for support, not fighting.  I am glad it is supportive on most boards here :)

Thanks for being offended for me, but it was no big deal. Amusing.

snooze fest is better - people can actually communicate and learn and support each other.

I can NOT imagine wanting others to fail after WLS because they didn't pick the same surgery you did.  it's all wrong.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Just as a point of clarification: I've not seen anyone wish anyone else failure simply based on surgery choice. It's when lies about another surgery (or even their own surgery) are stated that people get fired up.
