Nectar

I tried one of the Nectar's tonight.  The Fuzzy Navel one which wasn't too bad.  I am preop so am trying to find a few I like even though I know my tastes will change.  I absolutely hate milk and have since I was a baby so I will not be able to have any of the protein drinks that you ad milk to.  I have tried a couple with milk and water and the milk makes me sick to my stomach.

Anyways, my question is since the Nectar is mixed with water and there is no milk base I can keep it in the frig to keep real cold right?  I thought I would make a whole 16 oz and just pour 8 oz in a glass at a time and keep other in the frig?
I know with the milk base ones you shouldn't let them sit for a long timebut it is ok for the Nectar ones right?

Also could I put the nectar in my diet white tea that is rasberry flavor or maye a glass or crystal lite?

I've mixed nectar fuzzy navel with crystal light sunrise and put it in and out of the fridge all day.  I do find that after a while the protein flavor starts taking over, but I am sensitive to the flavors and have to choke down protein drinks anyway.

I still wouldn't let it sit for a long time but an hour or two would be ok.

Have you tried mixing your shakes with soy milk possibly? I didn't care for Nectar and have a large bottle of iced tea lemonade that I only used twice. The fuzzy navel was ok. I will suggest to you also that what you like BEFORE surgery and what you like AFTER can be two entirely different things so if you plan to stock up before surgery only buy samples until you know what you like and what settles. The smell of protein seems much much stronger post-op and many have trouble swallowing certain ones because of how they smell or taste, even if they liked them before surgery.

I asked this question of the Nectar makers and they actually said that you can safely keep mixed Nectar for 24 hours if refriderated. But do not keep longer than that. I too like mine VERY cold so I mix up two servings at a time and add ice to one asnd stick teh other in the freezer for awhile till it gets really cold.
