Gym's Open - TGIF for sure!

I am so glad today's Friday.  It was a short work-week and all, but I'm doing the happy dance.  

I'm getting my hair cut and colored today.  No changed, just getting back to fresh color and trimming up the ends.  My hair is so curly 1 year after surgery.  It blows my mind!

I was so happy.  My husband found my son's old trainer the other day and he's awesome.  We had him for Kris when Kris was playing football and was a quarterback.  I think he really helped prepare and protect our son from injuries.  Anyway, he had heard that I'd lost a bunch of weight and wants to train me!  So I called the Y, and got an almost tirade about using personal trainers, how they had to be a member of their staff and they force them to charge $30 an hour and they don't need any more PT's right now.  I told the director that they may lose a member because of it.  I really have to think about it because the gym where Gene trains is not convenient for me to go to for work and I'd be worried that I wouldn't stick to it.  We'll see.  I'll update you when I make a decision.  Decisions....decisions...decisions!  What do ya'll think?

So, the gym is open, will you move to lose today?  If so, come and tell us about it.

I fixed my treadmill belt so I won't have to go walking in the frozen tundra today. Whoo hoo!  I found the manual in (of all places) a folder of fast food menus!

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

Walking on the treadmill here, it's raining off and on today!

By-the-way, curly hair rocks! When people ask if I get a perm I always tell them "God gave me one when he gave me hair!"

Hi Kathy,

Maybe your trainer can meet you at your house and come up with an "at home" program for the days you don't go to the gym.

Haven't posted in awhile but I'm doing a ten week boot camp at my gym---pretty much a circuit training program---we move to different stations.  I've discovered I hate the ellipitical.  Doing this on Tue/Thurs and stopping in on Mon to do cardio (stepper and bike).  I have plans for a Sat or Sun ball/weights workout at home but haven't gotten my rump into that yet.
