Gym's Open - 39 Degrees in Pcola Tuesday

It's 3 degrees warmer here today, but it's supposed to be in the twenties tomorrow night!  Yikies! 

My turkey soup was so good last night.  I did really good on eating yesterday and added fruit for my snacks.  It upped my carb count for the day, but I don't really watch that number so much.  Fruit is so good for you, both fiber and vitamins that a small piece of fruit isn't going to harm my diet.

Today is lower body muscle groups for me.  I did 15 minutes on the treadmill yesterday as a warm up and I sweat for the first time in 2 weeks.  I like to sweat during my workouts. 

i'm sitting here waiting for my sheets to finish in the wash cycle so I can put them in the dryer before I go to the gym.  I like to have fresh sheets on the weekend but was out of town this weekend.

Good CHILLY morning Kathy!

We've been up down and all around with our temps this past week or so too... and my sinuses are telling me all about it......

I slept in some this morning so I only managed 30 mins on the recumbent bike with my book.... but since I upped the resistance another notch my thighs were REALLY REALLY glad that I didn't stick it out for another 15 mins.... LOL

I actually had someone reply to one of my posts about bike, book and me time to say that if I was reading I wasn't sweating and the bike time wasn't doing me any good.....  I replied back that I was sweating just fine thank you very much.....

Ugh...how dare they?  they don't know your intensity level, your heart rate, or your quality of fitness.  I swear, some people have noting better to do.

Thank you for posting here every day.  Not everyone has to be a gym rat, running their heart rate at 80% max for the entire cardio cycle, or a muscle-bound weight lifter to be active and helping their body increase their metabolism.

It was 10 here this morning.   Its going to be a balmy 25 today - do u want to trade??  LOL!!!

Nope, that's why I like NW Florida.  Just enough cold to satisfy me and then it gets hot and humid! 

Not sure how my hair is going to handle the humidity.  since it's grown back in, it's CURLY.  I always had body, but  now it's curly!  Crazy, I know.

Good morning Kathy. Its chilly here as well, but mostly just very windy.  I did a grueling 4 miles on the treadmill today. Its a new record! It took about 50min and I varied the pace in intervals between 2.8mph and 3.5mph for 2min each. I kept the incline fairly low (3%) but I was happy with the workout.

I'm glad you are feeling better and back at the gym.  Isn't it amazing that even the thought of getting on the treadmill plagued me with fear pre-surgery as I'm sure it did you too, and now you are walking quite fast for FOUR FREAKING MILES!  You go!!!

I planned to get up and go to the gym for cardio this morning but yeah..that wasn't happening. I did not sleep well last night. I hate when that happens.

Tonight I will spend an hour with my trainer who will make my legs so sore I can't move.

I wouldn't let the cat out of the bag about missing cardio this AM.  You may be in for more pain than you are expecting!

Christmas tree's finally comin' down tonight...Treadmill is moving back into the living room! I am so sick of working out in my cat room (aka large closet) on it. I can touch all four walls! lol.

I'm going to try to do 5 songs without stopping tonight. (Grateful Dead songs average 10+ minutes, I walk to live shows) If I drop dead it was nice knowing ya'all!

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!
