Brand Loyalty?

Everyone talks about how excited they are when they can shop in "regular" stores.  While I am not yet a "regular" size yet I am in a size where I can get clothes from stores where I couldn't previously shop (I was a 30/32+ before so before I could pretty much shop at Catherine's or through catalogs).

I am currently buying my clothes at thrift shops (someplace else I would never find clothes before) and I get a flood of emotions when I see a brand name I know wouldn't have carried my size before that now fits.  Those emotions include anger.  Liz, Lane Bryant, Old Navy, etc didn't give a crap about me 100 pounds ago.

Eventually (with luck and hard work) I will get to a size where I will only be able to shop at stores that don't have any interest in making clothes for fat people.  I don't know if I will ever be able to do that and not feel guilty.

It is frustrating, but dont beat yourself up over it. Every product/store cant please every person.

Yes, you may eventually have to shop at a store who has no interest in selling clothes to overweight people.  Realize that you are severing ties with a store (Catherines and others) that have no interest in selling clothes to the new you.

Enjoy the new you,
Amy
