Biggest Loser
I'm glad that it's on the Fine Living Network on 1/10 from 8-10 pm because I missed it tonight. We had our support group meeting tonight, and I really love to get together with my local board gals. The meetings suck content wise, but the comraderie is awesome and then we go out for dinner afterward and talk about our struggles.
What is the premise of the show this time. I noticed they sent half the team home, but how do they come back in 30 days?
Thanks!

This is the second season that I have started watching. I noticed the man that had gastric bypass lost the most weight. Maybe he is using his tool correctly with his eating that gave him and his son the win. It just made me more aware that it is a tool and it can be misused. I can't wait to get mine on Feb 9th.

I think they are focusing on higher BMI's this time around.
If the other team member is still there in 30 days, then they get to come back.
I wish for at least one season they would keep everyone there every week and give them all the same chances. I think it is kind of cruel to pick them as couples and then in the first week send 1 out of each team home. how disheartening for many of them!!!

I totally agree. I understand the reason behind sending half the team home...but they should at least give them a reasonable amount of time on the ranch to really figure out how to eat and exercise properly on their own. I mean one week doesn't do much for them and lets face it...if they could do it on their own at home, they sure as heck wouldn't be on the ranch to begin with. I just love the older couple. They are sooooo in love. It is wonderful to see :)

When watching the Biggest Loser last nite, I was really glad that the producers finally put a group of supersized folks on the show -- HOWEVER, I was extremely disappointed in HOW the producers/editors focused on the biggest folks in the group -- almost as if making a side show out of their bodies. I'm a real fan of the Biggest Loser -- I think, overall, it's a great way of showing folks what can be done with a true sense of commitment -- however, I think they were a bit over the top with the visuals -- I really think they could have toned it down a bit and not made it quite as much of a "bad car wreck"....None of us want to be made to feel as if we are more different than we already feel -- I really think they missed the boat on this one....but that's my opinion. Honestly, I think both trainers are blown away at what's ahead of them with regard to a training regiment. I'd be interested to know how many supersized folks they've worked with before -- it's not the same game as it is with someone in a lower weight range and, I hope, they truly know what they're doing.....it's definitely a different ball game when you hit the higher weight numbers....again, my personal opinion....
