NEW TO THE FORUM AND NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!!

HELLO TO ALL,

MY NAME IS MARY JANE AND I AM NEW TO THIS FORUM... BUT I NEEDED SOME HELP I FEEL SO FRUSTRATED THAT I CAN'T LOOSE WEIGHT ON MY OWN AND MY SURGERY WILL NOT GET SCHEDULED ANY TIME SOON AND I WILL JUST DIE WAITING FOR A DATE... I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A SURGERY DATE SINCE JUNE 2008. AND THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH RED TAPE THAT I AM NOT SEEING THE LIGHT IN THE END OF THE TUNNEL... MY NURSE ADVOCATE MISPLACED MY MEDICAL RECORDS AND OTHER PAPER WORK ON TESTS THAT I HAD DONE... THEN SHE SAYS SHE NEVER RECEIVED THEM.. THEN SHE ASKED FOR ADDITIONAL MEDICAL HISTORY  FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. NOT LISTED IN MY NEED TO DO LIST GIVEN BY MY DR. SO YOU CAN SEE ITS NOT GOING GOOD AT ALL.... I HAVE NO MOTIVATION AND VERY DEPRESSED... HELP!! PLEASE!! 

I HAVE DIABETES 2, SLEEP APNEA, CHOLESTEROL, ARTHRITIS, DEPRESSION,

SO I FEEL REALLY SICK SOMETIMES ESPECIALLY WITH MY KNEES THAT I CAN'T WALK ALOT BECAUSE OF MY WEIGHT I HAVE DISLOCATED BOTH MY KNEES AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO HEAL...

I know its hard to wait,it feels like nothing goes right and your always waiting.
I tryed before to have my surgery went thru the testing and everything and then the insurance changed and i was denied so 2 yrs later in the drs office he says Lisa if you dont get this weight off  i give you 6 months .
I looked at hima nd told him do you have a magic wand?
Its not easy to lose weight and i watch these people on the biggest loser and im confused by their weight loss and where is their extra skin.
It will happen for you doll,just keep pushing ahead and stand your ground.
The people on this forum are super they are helpful and kind and considerate.

I am sorry you are having such a rough road with your nurse advocate. I would definently not give her any further documentation without makng copies. I would also keep careful track of what you give her and when and confirm receipt on everything.

Is she in your doctor's office or at our insurance company? Have you contacted your insurance company to find out what their requirements are? I am trying to figure out why your doctor's office required an additional 5 years of medical history...most insurance companies have less requirements if your bmi is over 50-55. At least that has been my experience.

Hi. I know what you are going through. i am going through the same thing. I am so scared i am going to die before i get to have the surgery. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing 1, that the lord is on my side and he knows what is best for me and 2nd, i have a good friend that i can talk to..Grant it, i just physically started talking to her today, but talking to someone helps.
