Good Morning!

I am about 5 weeks post-op and have noticed that my stomach is starting to really hang low!  I have read on the board that people have used spanx, but I do not think they would fit at this point.  I am not in any pain or discomfort at this point, but really don't know if I can continue to find such LONG shirts.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

I started at 374 and after the first month was down to about 350.  I bought the largest size and they were comfortable.  But, I quickly dropped out of that size and down to an F.  I'm in a B now.

I would just recommend some light control top underwear and they are very inexpensive at walmart.  The cupid brand is good.  You can also try Ross/TJ Maxx for the Delta Burke Brand, they are really nice.

The woman within/romans/lane B cataalog sells generic spanx-like things in 4x. They fit me at 406. Tight but tight is good! I still wear the same pair now at around 300 pounds. They shrink with you. They were less than $20.

Catherines stores sells many undergarments in bigger sizes too but they are VERY expensive. Sign up for theeir cupon mailr while you're there.

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!

I bought mine at Avenue (not Spanx, their brand) and love them.  I wanted to be able to try them on.

You can also try the "Assets" product by Sara Blakely that's available at Target.  Made by the same company that makes Spanx, but costs a lot less.  The high waist/mid-thigh version does not have the open crotch like the Spanx, so you have to take them on and off to pee, but they cost about half as much as Spanx.

Good luck finding something to hold things in place!
