Good morning all,
I've been MIA, between going out of town and then getting back and just frankly not giving a damn about planning my food, thinking about food, writing about food, etc.
Food-wise I did fine over the holidays. I indulged in two sweets this week, a small piece of pistachio cake and half of a reeces peanut butter tree. I also had a pear every day. I can eat pears every day for the rest of my life I think. I made dinner for the fam on Christmas Eve and Christmas. I served turkey on Christmas Eve and my non-vegetarian aunt hugged me and blessed me repeatedly. She's been visiting for two weeks and not seen a lick of meat... which sucks for her because she has to do the low-carb thing for health reasons (she has MS and for some reason it makes her prone to yeast problems all over her body - carbs seem to make it worse).
On Christmas I made fettucine alfredo. What the hell, its Christmas! I filled up on salad with lots of cheese and kidney beans and then just had a little bit of pasta. My family had broccoli but its on my outlawed list.
Since we've been back I have been a little on the carby side, mostly with beans and a little bit more fast food than I would prefer. We are counting the days until I get paid so we can afford some healthy food.
Today:
B - coffee with mootopia (8oz mootopia, 8oz coffee, 1/2tsp raw sugar to cut the bitterness)
S - cup of yogurt
L - ham and green beans
D - Not sure, our friend Barbi is treating us to one of like 10 places she has gift certificates for. She's so nice. We owe them several meals at this point.

Just when you think you're doing ok the pouch reminds you who's in charge!
We leave for La Jolla/San Diego tomorrow, so I'll be gone from here again until the New Year.

S - insides of 1/2 a turkey sandwich
