Holy Crap! I am no longer in the "Over 50 BMI" category! Can I stay guys? Lol.
The holidays were hard but I made it through alive and no dumping. I did eat a pierogi (I am Polish) and that went OK. It was filled with farmers cheese which is like a dry cottage cheese. I usually make potato cheese but thought the farmers cheese type would be lower in carbs. They are homemade. They are delicious. I was afraid i would want to go nuts so I gave them all away after our family brunch. I did make cookies but only enough to make the cookie plates I give out. I like to bake and it saves money on gift buying. I ate three cookies total. I think I did Ok.
Jenn and I (my sister) are joining a Gym next month! I can't wait! I am not intimidated a all any longer. I formerly belonged to the BAC for women (years ago) and I loved it! At my high weight I couldn't have worked out even if I had wanted to (I didn't) but now I feel like I can do anything...go anywhere. It's amazing. I am so HAPPY! Happier than I have been in about 9 years.
You don't realize what you are willing to settle for in life 'till you have moved past it and looked back I guess. I was not living before. I was existing. Sad.
Congrats!! It's a great feeling to be out of the "50" zone isn't it!!! Sounds like you did great over the holidays. I did fair also. I had about 3 cookies total over the 2 days of family stuff. I took really small bites of about 4 different kids of cookies, but never ate the whole thing. I stuck to the protein at dinner, turkey, ham, and prime rib, with a few veggies!!!! I had a little bit of trouble after dinner while we were all sitting around playing cards. I really wanted to snack on all of the sweets, but I stayed strong. I ended up having just a little bit of summer sausage and cheese as a snack.
Keep up the good work!!
