One Year Anniversary & The Results Are....

We're in Denver for the weekend so this is just a quick drive-by posting!

Met with my WLS surgeon yesterday.  I am officially down 185 lbs. for the first year!  Surgery weight was 440, I am now 255.  My labs are great - a little low on Vitamin D and Folic Acid.  (Guess I'm the 2nd in 20 years they've seen with low folic acid - oh well.)  So I'll be upping D and folic acid for awhile and have rechecked in 3 to 6 months.

They want me to be back in another 35 lbs, check me out nutritionally and then start talking about plastic surgery.  They estimate that I actually weigh around 216 - major skin issues. 

All in all I'm doing great and I'm thrilled that I had this surgery.  Don't regret a single second.

Jana, what a great job you've done this year.  My doc wasn't as thrilled and was actually somewhat of a jerk when I was in for my 1 year.  But oh well.  I'm happy with my loss and that's all that matters.  Keep up the excellent work!
