When you are our size it takes alot to maintain the energy and fat levels we are use dto so when you take that away your body starts doing things to compensate one of those things is slowing down your ody physically and making you tired so that you hang on to all those calories. I hope that helps some I did it to on my liquid diet.

I was very tired when I first started Medifast. It is normal as MommaHen said - when we have been accustomed to eating large amount of high cal food (me), scaling back causes your body to say "OK, panic mode. Conserve energy by sleeping!"

I listen to my body and when I'm really tired, I rest. Nap, read or go to bed early. Keeps me from eating too!

Some of us have also found that such a tired period often occurs right before a big weight loss. Getting plenty of good sleep will help you lose!
