is when I will get new LEGS! I just scheduled my thighplasty! I will have medial thighplasty with both groin and vertical incisions. This date is special to me because it is also the 2nd anniversary of my gastric bypass! Dr. Lee will also do some small revisions to my tummy to give me a more defined waist and remove a bit more skin. I'm SO jazzed!
Thanks Aaron! My thighs at one point were 37 inches, so I have LOTS and LOTS of excess skin on them. Currently, my legs are 22 - 23 inches, and many times, it is my thighs that dictate my pant/skirt size. In a 6, the waist is a bit big, but they don't fit well in the legs. I can wear trouser slacks, or wide leg jeans in a 6, but if the legs of the pants are not roomy, I need an 8. I tried on a 4 dress once, and it was too tight across my thighs, but great everywhere else. Also, when I try and ride the stationary bike at the gym, all of that loose skin gets pinched and bunched up - very painful. I know that when I've tried jogging, there is so much wiggle and jiggle in my legs that it is ridiculous!
I will be happy to get rid of this thigh skin!

When I went in for the body lift, I started antibiotics (keflex) 2 days before surgery and was on them for 3 weeks. The bacteria that was cultured when the seroma became infected was something that the particular antibiotic I was taking didn't cover well. I was put on IV antibiotics in the hospital and sent home on clindamycian for another 10 days. I ended up on clindamycian another 3 times. He will probably put me on clindamycian before hand this time. I will know more on that when I go to my preop next month.

You are going to be the teeniest little thing. If I ever have surgery my priorities would be arms and then thighs. My belly and upper body can wait, but the thighs and especially the arms... wow. Scary.
