EKG okay - cleared for surgery next Tuesday
Thanks to everyone for keeping me in their thoughts and prayers about my abnormal EKG. I had an appointment with a cardiologist this morning, and thankfully everything is fine. It turned out that the only thing "abnormal" about my EKG is that my pulse rate was 46. Everything else about the EKG was fine, and I have no other indications of cardiovascular issues. I'm glad everything is okay, and when I started to feel a bit irritated about having to jump through yet more hoops, reminded myself that it's better to be safe than sorry!
Thanks again for your support! Watch out skinnier arms and perkier boobs, here I come

ooohhh, good deal, kellie! you know, i should have remembered this yesterday when i read your post, but didn't...when i got an ekg for my last plastic surgery, the nurse told me i was not allowed to leave the hospital where i was having the ekg until she had spoken with my doctor's office cause my pulse rate was too low. it was the hospital's protocol to detain patients with pulse's below 50, and mine was in the 40s somewhere. i mentioned that since losing weight, the slow pulse is the new normal for me. it really does seem to freak some medical personnel out when your heart is beating that slowly. seems like it would be a good thing to me!
glad it's all turned out for the good for your surgery!

YAY Kellie! I'm so happy for you! You will love your new boobs - I really am pleased with the difference!
Guess you shouldn't be working out so much to keep your pulse rate so low! This happened to me when I was going in for one of the last surgeries. The nurse wanted my plastic surgeon to cancel because my pulse was too low. His answer was "it's because she is fit, not because she has a cardiac risk. We just don't see that many fit people anymore".
Will you be able to follow up with your plastic surgeon after your insurance change?

I'm excited about getting my boobs renovated and getting rid of this darn flabby skin from my upper arms. I can't wait to heal, then go back to the gym and work on the muscle tone in my arms and upper body! I'm looking forward to wearing sleeveless shirts this summer and showing off my guns!!!
My follow-up appointments will be included with the charges for the surgery itself, or so the insurance reps told me. Hopefully they'll won't give me any grief about it, because I'm prepared to argue my case and I'm pretty effective at making my point...

46? Good lord you are fit! Woot! I'm glad you are cleared. I don't know about anything else but if I have to sell my first-born I am getting the arms done at some point.
