OK, everyone!  Time to 'fess up and face the music!  How did the Turkey weekend work out?

I didn't lose, but I didn't gain, either.  I suspect this may be another one of my 1,000,000 week plateaus.

Today's weight: 233 lb.

What good (or not so good) news did your scale present you with this fine Monday AM?

Hiya, Kix - were you a big winner at the casino on turkey day?  I had a great Thanksgiving with my family, at least until I ate small pieces of three kinds of pie and dumped.  You'd think I'd know better by now, but no...  Anyway, no more pie for me after that and, amazingly, no more dumping.  Go figure.

Beginning weight:  396
Surgery weight:  386
Last week:  185
This week:  182.9

Scale's been hanging out in the same 180-182 pound range for about 3 months now.  I don't think I'll get any movement downward until I'm able to go back to the gym in mid to late January, but that's okay.  Maintaining can be a good thing...

Only 24 shopping days left until Christmas!

I did pretty well over the long weekend. Thursday started off bad because I wasnt taking my time during dinner and was rushing just like everyone else. But once I slowed down and relaxed, it went fine. I didnt even tempt myself with the rolls, so that was good!

Had a great holiday weekend - just the three of us but lots of fun.  Dh is heading out of town today to go to my sister's house to help them do some home repair projects; dh's work is sooooooo S.L.O.W. right now!  Emily fell apart at the thought of her daddy not being around - cried all the way to school, poor thing.

Finished my first three transcripts over the weekend.  I'm doing some freelance legal transcription from home to bring in some extra money.  It's not a lot of money, but it may pay a bill or two.  I still have my day job - family law paralegal.  Oh joy!

Total for week:  -2; Grand total:  -180 lbs!

I am still the same.

I didn't over eat or under eat for Thanksgiving, but what I ate was very good.  I didn't dump or feel sick the entire time we were out of town until I had a handful of golden raisins and dumped immediately.

Pumpkin pie? sure! bourbon balls? absolutely! Raisins. Not a chance!

I bought some size 20 jeans and pants on sale, and then a week later they are already loose, but I still have 24s that are tight or fit correctly. From the same places! I tried on 18s in shirts and they fit but I could only afford and desperately needed pants.

So I am getting smaller. The scale is just not moving. 255 this morning.

I stopped birth control all together as of yesterday and we are just going to cross our fingers (and legs?) for a while. I stopped for other reasons (lady problems) but I'm hoping one of the side effects will be some weight loss. Or a baby. I have an appt with the gyno in a month to see how I am doing with my lady problems.

Oh, I got my blood work back - perfecto. Some of the Bs were too high (thiamine was double the high end of the range I think) so I am supposed to drop the B complex and just take a multi, B-12, calcium, and iron. My iron was great, better than it has been, and vitamin D was perfect, which is nice because I hadn't had it tested since 3 months out.  I am also thinking about adding vitamin C and E separately, due to a lot of research I've been reading (not about bypass patients but about nutrition in general).

So, even if I can't seem to lose anything I seem to be relatively healthy.

I guess I'll have to pump up the work out, and now that the semester is winding down maybe my stress levels will decrease and that will help I hope.

Hang in there, Jenn.  I'm at 260 this morning and I'm in a solid size 24 - no way I could fit into a 22, let alone a 20.  Who knows you may wake up one morning and be down some amazing number; it's gotta come off sometime.

Since the holiday weekend started for me on Wednesday evening, and lasted through last night, I didn't get on the scale until this morning.  I ate anything I wanted, and didn't track my protein / carbs / fa****er / etc...   I know that I got in enough protein, all my supplements, and also all my hydration, so no issues there.  Actually, I rarely track these things.  My protein drinks and large container of fluid I take in during the day give me the assurance that the minimum requirements are met.

Boy, did I eat!!!  Full meals (it took a while to get it all in), lots of alcohol, full servings of every desert offered, munching and grazing all day long, and more carbs over 4 days than I have probably eaten in several months.  Never got anymore exercise than walking from the car to the house.  I was so happy, since last year I was on the pre-op diet and missed out on my favorite food fest!

Today I am down another 2#.  I love me DS!!  I love that I can eat such a variety and that fat is no issue at all.  Dressing packed with real butter, turkey drippings, and italian sausage -- yum!!
