Rescued puppy needs help!

Hello,
I will be cross-posting this on many boards,just so you know :)
I have rescued a beautiful little male Bichon Frise who needs a new home. He was abandoned after his owners were evicted and the landlord found him several days later. I am working on getting vet records, but he appears healthy.
He is a sweetheart! Healthy, groomed, well behaved and mostly potty trained. He's about 6-7 months old and purebred. I am waiting for his registration papers. I accidentally left them at the vet office in the town where I picked him up and I have to wait on the mail to bring him. The vet-tech said that he is AKC registered but I know nothing about purebred dogs so I don't know what that means. I'm a fan of mutts, myself!
He's such a sweetie, but I can't keep him. I already have 2 dogs and that's my limit! If you are in or near NE Indiana or you are willing to travel near here and are interested, let me know!
I will be traveling to Louisville, KY this Friday and could deliver him then if you are interested!
